Rod ends and spherical bearings are used when a shaft or rod encounters misalignment. Designed to manage high radial loads, perform consistently and still function even when marginal lubrication, contamination and critical-application stresses are present.
There are many configurations available, depending on the application, from P.T.F.E. Self Lubricating Stainless Steel (motorsport example: racing car suspensions) to metal on metal scenarios.
Rubber Boots, seals, spacers and lock nuts are also available.
