Meet The Heroes – Natalie Masters

Meet…. Natalie Masters!

Since 2019, Natalie has been a key figure and important team player working in our dynamic warehouse team as a warehouse order administrator.

We asked Natalie all about herself….

– Can you tell us about your role at Godiva?

My role at Godiva is to quality check each order picked against the customer delivery note and to ensure all goods are correct for our customers to receive.

– Can you tell us about your footballing past and present?

I started playing football whilst at primary school around the age of 7.
At 10 years old I made the school football team to which I ended up getting banned by the F.A. because the ruling was girls could not play competitive with boys even though I was stronger than most of them.
At 15 I joined Kidderminster Harriers and had 3 great seasons before I was approached by Aston Villa and moved clubs.
I played for Aston Villa for nearly 20 years and played against many great players and teams.
Throughout my career of playing we gained various league promotions and I picked up many Trophies along the way. I also had many England selections for training camps at various centres around the country which was a great experience and definitely helped my game.
My career came to an end at the age of 38 due to a number of knee injuries. But since having our son, the boots are now back out to provide a helping hand to his team.

– What is your proudest moment?

This must be my selection for the England Women’s National Team where I was selected as a squad member against Croatia at Charlton Athletic in November 1996. I only made the bench but still a great achievement.

– Funniest moment?

I don’t really have one.

– Favourite meal?

I love a good curry.

– What’s great about Godiva?

It’s like a family environment. Everyone pulls together as a team to get the job done.
